Part 3 of The Ashes of Jedha story.
As always you were warned and this opinion may or may not contain spoilers for you if you plan on reading the comic.
Issue #40 of Star Wars is the third part of The Ashes of Jedha story. Now I mentioned in my previous reviews that the story was starting off slow and I was not a big fan of the artwork in this story. I stick to the fact that I am not a fan of the way they are applying character’s faces in this series and that’s all I’m gonna say about it this time. On the plus side their seems to be fewer face shoots or maybe I’m becoming accustomed to it or maybe I’m just ignoring it.
The story is starting to heat up in this issue. We get some action during a stealth mission and see all the characters working together, whether they like the outcome or not. This was a super fast read for me as there was little dialogue to follow. The artwork is entertaining but the story line is slow to move forward. My understanding is this story ends in 3 more comics and I feel there is a lot that needs to be explained to make readers happy.
I’m kinda excited for the next issue to hit the shelves as there seems to be some trouble for the Rebels/Partisans and for Luke coming up quickly in the next issue.
Overall I give this issue a 6/10.
We shall see what is in store for us when the next issue hits the shelves Jan 3rd, 2018!
